About the class

Quite simply magical… It always takes me aback as the daylight fades and the lights start to glow in the dark from all the SUP Yogis and swimmers in and on the water.

Flow a little and then paddle to the glow of the full moon at Cotswold Water Park Hire, with our little lights shining on our boards. Even if the moon is a little shy and hides behind the clouds, to spend the evening out on the water is incredibly special.

Bring your sense of fun and adventure. Smiles and laughter will be doled out liberally throughout the SUP Yoga session.

Practical Info :

90 mins of SUP Yoga and paddling. A practise designed to minimise dunks. SUP hire is included in the £30 booking fee (SUP, paddle and buoyancy aid). Buoyancy aids must be worn during the paddling.

* Pricing :

Please note the price of £30 includes hire of SUP, paddle and buoyancy aid, if you don't require hire, rather than book via this page, please drop us an email to studio@orangeyoga.co.uk to book a place for £18.

* Arrival, Parking & Departure :

When you arrive, park on the field. If ground is sodden the field will be out of bounds. Find space on hard standing/ gravel.

Kathy will be parked in bay 17 - you’ll see a "Happiestwhenoutdoors" flag and we must meet here... Kathy will be there 15 mins before class starts. Unless the ground is sodden then you’ll find the van on the gravel (Black VW Transporter van).

For those bringing their own SUPs, you can arrive from 9pm, otherwise arrival at lake for 9.15pm.

Off the water latest by 11pm and site closes at 11.15pm.

For Those Hiring :

Boards are to be collected from bay and returned to bay after the session please.

Inclement weather :

Session will be cancelled if there’s thunder storms. We still practise in the rain!

If this event is cancelled due to strong, stormy winds or heavy rain, then alternative dates will be offered.

What To Bring / Wear :

Bring suitable non cotton clothing and change of clothes (yes, yoga clothing. Anything quick drying ).... waterproof perhaps if rain. Bobble hat possibly. Wetsuit if you feel the cold. Even a fleece top in a plastic bag would work on your board just in case of a dunking....😬

You will need a light for your board (bike lights work well, head torches or battery operated fairy lights).

Venue :

The sessions take place at lake 86. Google pin: Cotswold Water Park Hire https://goo.gl/maps/dbNEhDP7fiv92FmJA

About Kathy :

Hello, I’m Kathy, a Mum with four kids and 2 naughty Spaniels who is ultimately happiest when outdoors, chasing views, experiences and adventures.

Busy life but love it. I've always been an active person and love getting outdoors. Keeping active becomes a challenge when life throws us stressful curve balls and you've little kids at home. Yoga came just at the right time. It gave me time to pause, to move and to learn to acknowledge my everyday. I loved it all so much, I made the decision to learn more, and become a yoga teacher. From teaching yoga, I expanded into the outdoors, became a SUP instructor and started teaching SUP Yoga over 4 years ago.

As the kids get older (they range in age from 23 down to 15), I’ve found I have more time on my hands to do little things for me, meet friends for small and big adventures. In 2019 I completed a SUP trip of 100 miles down the River Wye over 4 days with like minded individuals. It was a challenge to SUP with all our kit onboard our SUPs, camp at sites right by the river, and not something I’ve done before. 2019 saw me start trips out in Croatia, combining sailing, SUP and yoga, and 2021 gave me the chance to explore Scotland a little, the Menai Straits and Anglesey.

2022 was a big travel year. Biggest yet personally. Hiking in Switzerland, Wales and Kilimanjaro, and a SUP trip in the Norwegian fjords. Commercially ran trips in the Lake District and Great Glen trail in Scotland.
