Combining her traditional yoga training and background in applied psychology with modern movement approaches and long-standing experience of working with sporty people - Julia brings a unique workshop for sporty / active people who want to enhance or create consistency in their sporting performance or protect against injury and limited mobility caused by repetitive movement in sport.
The class is suitable for people from all sorts of sporty backgrounds but also a really fun class for anyone to try.
Feedback suggests it's particularly accessible for men who struggle with some of the flexibility and mobility required in a more traditionally flowing style.
Teaching through play and using mobility, strength and stability as key focus makes for a lively, accessible session.
As ever compassion is a key theme. Mindful attention and breathing feature too of course but differently to a regular class.
About Dr Julia :
Julia is an advanced level yoga teacher and clinical psychologist with specialist qualification in functional yoga for sport and an all round sporty person! She has been teaching for 12 years.
