About the class

Connect with Solstice energy with a slower, meditative and deeply relaxing yin class with Ann.

In Yin we hold seated and lying stretches for 2-6 minutes to allow deep tissues within our body to be stretched, giving the body, mind and heart time to fully release.

About Ann :

I started yoga in 2003 with a rigorous Ashtanga practice, loving the physical challenge of this style. I immediately appreciated the fun non-competitive self-exploration that yoga encourages, often surprising myself with what was possible.

Since then, I've broadened my yoga into other styles, now loving everything from an invigorating Dynamic Vinyasa Flow, calmer Hatha Yoga to restful Yin Yoga. I've come to appreciate the impact yoga practice can have on our outlook, providing a much needed opportunity for relaxation and restoration in today's hectic world.

Seated meditation has become an important part of my practice, I regularly attend silent Buddhist meditation retreats. The benefits to my life from meditation are many, and so I include an element of this in my teaching.

I've been teaching since 2013; I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher diploma at Yogacampus in London, and my 300 hour advanced teacher training with OrangeYoga in Cheltenham. I've also taken specialised teacher training courses in Yin Yoga (to advanced level), Pranayama, Meditation and Anatomy.
