* 10am - Ceremony & Meditation
We begin each day with an intent setting ritual to hone our cells and spirit in the direction of our work for the day. Expect meditation, chanting and songs.
* 11am -1pm - Postures for Hamstrings
The hamstrings take a lot longer to warm up than the front of the legs. One reason is because of the way we operate as humans now which involves a lot of forward moving actions. The other reason why the hamstrings take longer to warm up is because of the nature of circulation in the legs.
The Standing Pose Series is a method of sequencing that focuses on improving circulation in the lower extremities. More blood flow to the hamstrings enable a greater chance to work on the tissues in the back of the legs.
This sequence is based on the biomechanics that are useful for when it comes to working with optimising hamstring flexibility and strength.
This morning is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their understanding of the hamstrings which includes gaining the flexibility to advance in variations of pyramids and splits.
Jambo also teaches the components necessary for recovery from hamstring injuries such as hamstring tendonitis and hamstring tendonopathy.
Suitable for students of other bodywork and movement methods as it covers activity and recovery of the hamstrings.
