About the class

This workshop will give you an overview of how the respiratory muscles and pelvic floor are related to each other, and how they need to work together for proper function.

We will spend some time on getting your breathing basics right, creating greater awareness of your pelvic floor movement in relation to your diaphragm, before moving on to when and how best to engage the muscles with particular exercises. We will also spend some time on postural alignment and pelvic tilt, and crucially, the relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles too.

The workshop will conclude with a sample daily exercise plan for you to take home and practice.

(NB: No prior yoga practice or knowledge is required)

Anyone who is interested! Whether or not you or someone you know may suffer from any degree of pelvic floor dysfunction, this workshop/course is for you.

Based on the most recent scientific knowledge in the field of pelvic floor health, professionals believe your breathing basics need to be in place before any kind of specific exercises and training is implemented. In many cases, this alone can really improve the symptoms you are experiencing.

Testimonial: "This has been one of the most empowering experiences. To understand and practice the connection between, breathing, diaphragm and pelvic floor has been a revelation. After a short time, I am beginning to make the connection, a way to go but the opportunity of gaining back control of the pelvic floor, is as much motivation as I need."
