Learn how to identify and address asana pinch points and barriers to progress.
For teachers (and interested students).
- £40 -
Take a fresh approach to your habitual personal practice patterns or class sequencing ruts that can leave you feeling “stuck” or uninspired.
Join us to experience a framework for practice or planning to safely and confidently explore new options, and find ways to adapt or refocus your practice approach.
This training (suitable for teachers, teacher trainees and interested students) is designed:
to inspire you to deepen your practice.
For teachers, to empower you to design and deliver more effective classes that are inclusive, accessible and adaptable for all bodies and abilities.
For students, to use the workshop techniques for a more embodied personal practice that unlocks your potential.
Inspired by our own teaching experience and learnings, we explore how (no matter where you are in your yoga journey), you can develop appropriate drills and asana sequences to eliminate barriers to progress.
Using a challenge posture, we dissect and identify potential pinch points to progress, and discuss how these may “show up” in your classes or your personal practice. We will “workshop” how to address these issues with a sequencing approach aimed at unleashing your practice potential.
Whether you’re a teacher or a student, this workshop will take you beyond what you already know, and where you already are!
Your takeaways:
A detailed handout, summarising the workshop challenge posture, pinch points, drills and asana progression, and method to connect these to other challenge poses.
A blank planning template to use as a framework for your class or practice planning.
A flexible sequencing approach to unlock potential, deepen the student experience and help teachers share practices more effectively.
This workshop counts toward CPD requirements for Yoga Alliance
