Saturday morning - 'THROUGH A SOFT LENS'
There is a crack in everything, that's what lets the light in' (Leonard Cohen)
Through a soft lens of Somatic experiencing we honour cosmic prana manifesting through space & air, drawing on winged creatures to inspire posture patterns. We travel through the elements into 'deep time' . Taking ideas from the manual The rainbow bridge, vayu ( winds), Maha Bhutan (great elements) & kosha ( layers of consciousness) We sequence towards the concept of 'deep time'.
Saturday afternoon - 'JOURNEY INTO DEEP TIME'
Discussion on the wholistic template of yoga ~ cultivating layers to delve the silky silt of 'Self' with niyamas as guide ~ kindness and acceptance ( ahimsa, santosha) Poetic ecology writer Robert Macfarlane will inspire somatic language from ' Is a river alive' & 'Underland' ~ honouring indigenous wisdom to chip the concrete of material driven societies which have sought to control nature as resource commodity rather than living breathing expressions of consciousness (purusha/ Prakriti) We close the day DEEP TIME YOGA NIDRA
Somatic experiencing & supportive touch will intertwine practices, respecting PAUSES to BREATHE & deepen earth connection. AROMAPRANA using essential oils for self care will be included in the day.
Sunday morning - CO-CREATING TREE
A celebration of Saturday's sessions, combining individual input & ideas to sequencing layers. Druid translates as 'knower of the tree' ~ Focus on balances, pivoting around Tree Pose & its variations. DEEP TIME NIDRA to close.
