Thirza’s first experience of yoga was not a happy one and it took her almost 20 years to return to her mat. As a result, as a yoga teacher, Thirza is passionate about helping students to find the yoga class that’s right for them - and that often won’t be her class!
Thirza has always loved learning and teaching, it's just the subject matter that has changed. Thirza’s classes focus on developing a sense of enquiry, empowering students to make choices and encouraging them to champion their own knowledge, skills and abilities.The gentle pace of Thirza’s classes is intentional, offering space to slow down, explore, reflect and unwind. Combining this pace with a full range of yoga props means that everyone is welcomed, whatever their level of fitness, flexibility or mobility. Thirza’s classes draw on her own experience of Hatha, Viniyoga, Slow Vinyasa and Yin practices.
Beyond yoga, Thirza is inspired and energised by slow travel, exploring the world in her campervan, pet-sitting, volunteering and connecting with nature. Thirza completed her initial yoga teacher training at OrangeYoga in 2021 and followed that up with a Yin yoga training with Norman Blair in 2025. She has studied anatomy with Libby Hinsley and yoga sequencing with Jason Crandell.
