Sun 13th Sep 2020 ~ 2pm to 5pm (3hrs)

This weekend offers an immersive experience of restorative yoga allowing space and time to explore the practice more deeply. Primarily consisting of restorative practice, there will also be some lecture and dialogue which covers different aspects of the practice: its purpose and focus; experience and possible outcomes; some of the postures and their set up. This workshop provides those interested in learning more a chance to be held and nourished by this style of yoga, while also establishing a foundational understanding of its tenets.
Led through the experienced guidance of Anna Ashby who has been teaching restorative for over 20 years, come prepared to rest, reflect and dive deep into this body of work so crucial to nervous system health. The weekend is also preparatory for teachers who wish to pursue further training.
Props are needed for the Immersion: 4 foam blocks, 2 bricks, 2 bolsters, 1 belt, 3 blankets and a chair - you can use various things around the home (e.g. books as blocks or a belt as a strap) as substitutes if needed!
You'll be sent a playback after the session to watch any time you like.
Anna Ashby has been studying and practicing yoga for 29 years and teaching for 20 years. She is one of London’s leading yoga teachers and is a founder and senior faculty member of Triyoga’s teacher training program and holds the highest level of certification from Yoga Alliance both in the UK and in the US (E-RYT 500/Senior Teacher). Anna’s teaching style has evolved from her study of dance, in-depth training with established, classical yoga systems that focus on alignment, and a dedicated meditation practice that developed while she lived for 12 years in a yoga ashram in upstate New York. She has been teaching Restorative Yoga for over 10 years using the weekly classes to develop and refine her teaching of the restorative practices.
