Join us in glorious Italy!
It's one of our favourite times of the year.
Lovely place, lovely food, lovely people. Yoga, friendship, laughter and proper rest in the Italian countryside.
The location.
Our location is the unspoiled medieval village of Casperia perched amidst spectacular mountains and surrounded by olive groves. It's a perfect place to explore.
Close to Rome and Florence, natural hot springs and amazing walks to enjoy in the mediterranean sunshine. Local food, wine, and coffee with warm hospitality - all that the Italians do best.
Accommodation.
We'll stay in the historic listed palazzo, once the Count’s private residence, situated inside the medieval walls of the village. Rich in history and full of antiques dating back centuries. Enjoy exploring the courtyard, gardens and grounds.
Inside the palazzo, we have shared twin rooms, each with its own bathroom. There is a communal lounge and kitchen.
Breakfast is served daily in the village cafe after our morning yoga class. Lunches and evening meals can be enjoyed either at the 2 or 3 local restaurants or by cooking in the kitchen. There is a village shop to buy daily, fresh, local produce.
Yoga.
Yoga each morning and each afternoon in the converted stable of the palazzo. With focus on the the breath and suitable for all levels.
Our days.
The days are yours to spend how you’d like - read, snooze or explore. The Sabina mountains surrounding Casperia offer wonderful trekking and scenery.
Included in your stay is a guided walk with local guides. Use of bikes to explore the area and use of an outdoor pool (30 minute walk from the palazzo).
Cost.
£649 per person.
INCLUDES shared room with ensuite, breakfast, two yoga sessions a day, guided walk, use of bikes and use of outdoor pool.
EXCLUDES flights, transfers, lunches, evening meals, any additional activities taken by choice, travel insurance.
Flights / Getting to Casperia.
We usually fly either via Easyjet, Bristol or Jet2 Birmingham to Rome Fiumicino.
At Rome Fiumicino it's an easy walk to the train station to buy a ticket to Poggio Mirteto.
Once on the train, contact us and we'll make sure someone is there to meet you at Poggio Mirteto to transfer you to Casperia.
This is a truly laid-back, unspoilt, peaceful authentic Italian experience.
We'd love you to join us!
About Jan.
Over 30 years, my practice has evolved and I am changed because of it. I still love how Yoga makes me feel! Yoga is my emotional and physical anchor, continually strengthening my body and mind, ultimately helping me to find a truer sense of myself. Even today, I’m still loving that there are new to things to learn. I see teaching as a further opportunity to share and work in partnership with students to help them to find joy in their own practice.
Jan's teaching is influenced by her historical love of Iyengar and Dynamic Vinyasa, and more recently Yin, Gentle and Restorative Yoga.
She is an advanced 500hr trained teacher and has trained with Ian Davis, Cyndi Lee and Jason Crandel among others.
