Ann started doing yoga in 2003 with a rigorous Ashtanga practice, loving the physical challenge of this style. She immediately appreciated the fun non-competitive self-exploration that yoga encourages, often surprising herself with what was possible.
Since then, Ann has broadened her yoga into other styles, now loving everything from an invigorating Dynamic Vinyasa Flow and calmer Hatha Yoga to restful Yin Yoga. She has come to appreciate the impact yoga practice can have on our outlook, providing a much needed opportunity for relaxation and restoration in today's hectic world.
Seated meditation has become an important part of her practice; Ann regularly attends silent Buddhist meditation retreats. The benefits to her life from meditation are many, and so she include elements of this in her teaching.
Ann has been teaching since 2013; she completed 200 hour yoga teacher diploma at Yogacampus in London, and 300 hour advanced teacher training with OrangeYoga in Cheltenham. She has also taken specialised teacher training courses in Yin Yoga (to advanced level), Pranayama, Meditation and Anatomy.
