Jane Macpherson.

“I am looking forward to sharing with you how yoga in a therapeutic setting can profoundly change people’s lives.”

Jane is a senior yoga teacher (IYA 500) and has taught classes for over 22 years in the London, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire areas as well as in Australia and the Middle East.

She is our Course Director having qualified as a certified, professional yoga therapist in 2013 with YogaCampus and continues her work with clients helping them with a wide range of physical, mental and emotional  issues. She was also a teacher on the YogaCampus Diploma Course as well as being a supervisor and assessor.

She has extensive experience helping clients with a range of physical, mental and emotional conditions – including muscular skeletal, respiratory, auto-immune, cardio-vascular, cancer, insomnia and depression.

Jane is a director and founding member of the Yoga Therapy Association.

Ruth Henderson-Cash.

Ruth has been an OrangeYoga student for well over 20 years, so to be a part of the teaching team feels very special to her.

She has taught yoga classes for more than 12 years, embarking on her yoga training after being thrown into the deep end (and resurfacing!) on a 5 day Teaching Ashtanga immersion with David Swenson.

Ruth also holds a diploma in Yoga Therapy, which focuses on selecting yoga practices to address specific health conditions, and support client well-being goals.

She has previously taught classes for specific health conditions, including cancer and Parksinson’s, and therapeutically has worked with individual clients with a wide range of health conditions, including muscular-skeletal issues, anxiety, and menopause challenges.

In addition to teaching gentle yoga, Ruth is a tutor on the OrangeYoga Therapy Training Course.  She also runs a four day “Teaching Chair Yoga” course, and intermittent workshops on various topics.

Alongside one-to-one work with clients, she also teaches chair and mat-based classes elsewhere.

Ruth is a native New Yorker, but calls Cheltenham home - despite the accent! She loves country walks, appreciating the “right to roam” as well as the pubs!
