Susanne has been teaching yoga since the early 1990’s. Her own practice started with Ashtanga, Iyengar and Scaravelli yoga. She gradually began to evolve her unique style of teaching vinyasa flow classes based on somatic principles, exploration, joy of movement as well as integrating findings from current research in neuroscience and biomechanics.
Susanne holds an advanced teaching certificate from the British Wheel of Yoga. She also has a BSc in Sports Science, an MA in Dance, and advanced certificationin Pilates, fitness, gyrotonic, somatics and the Alexander Technique. In London, Susanne taught at London Contemporary Dance School, at the Circus Space, at Trinity Laban, and for many years she was training teachers and yoga therapists for Yogacampus.
She now runs vinyasa classes at OrangeYoga, teaches Anatomy and Sequencing on the teacher training course, as well as experiential anatomy, somatics and yoga for special conditions on the YogaTherapy course.
Her teaching philosophy is to respect individual variations, whilst encouraging personal challenges, enjoyment of moving and stillness, continuous growth and life long learning. She loves the spirit of community and sharing at OrangeYoga.
