About the class

AN INFORMATION WORKSHOP FOR EYFS & KS1 TEACHERS

WHY THIS MATTERS

Self-regulation sits at the heart of the EYFS Personal, Social and Emotional Development area, and runs through the PSHE curriculum beyond it. Most of us were never shown how to teach it practically — this session gives you simple, embodied tools you can use the same week.

WHAT'S COVERED

  • Breathing techniques for transitions and big feelings

  • How yoga postures build gross motor skills that feed into writing readiness Mindfulness moments that fit a busy timetable

  • Take-home resources in curriculum language

WHO IT'S FOR

EYFS and KS1 teachers, TAs and SENCOs curious about embodied approaches to

regulation. No yoga experience needed — just comfortable clothes and an open mind.

YOUR HOST

Naomi is a Deputy Headteacher and SENCO with responsibility for PSHE, early years and disadvantaged pupils. She is a qualified adult yoga teacher (OrangeYoga trained) and children's yoga teacher (The Calm Club, Stroud) — bringing together classroom leadership and embodied practice, so everything shared is grounded in what actually works in a real EYFS or KS1 setting.

** PRACTICAL BITS **

Due to the nature of the Crescent Bakery building, it's ideal to wear layers of clothing for cooler / warmer fluctuations.
