About the class

A workshop that delves into one of yoga’s most essential yet elusive postures: Shavasana is often described as the most important pose in practice, inviting deep relaxation, integration, and restoration, yet it can be one of the hardest to actually do.

We’ll explore the profound benefits of this final pose, discover how to adapt and prop it for individual needs, and finish with an extended guided Shavasana to fully experience its restorative potential.

Whether you struggle to settle into stillness or simply want to deepen your understanding of this vital posture, this workshop will offer insights and techniques to help you unlock the full power of rest and surrender.

About Ren :

Ren’s yoga journey has OrangeYoga at the core of it.

They have been a student of Ian’s since they were a teenager and started 200hr Teacher Training with him during their final year of University. Since qualifying they have gone on to study for their 500hr Teacher Training qualification and Yoga Therapy Diploma.

Ren currently teaches Restorative, Meditation and Yoga at OrangeYoga, and has also completed additional teacher training in Ashtanga, Meditation, Nidra and Trauma-informed Yoga.

Ren takes pride in holding inclusive, healing classes to nourish body body and mind. Ren uses soft, background music within classes to help students switch off their active minds and relax further into the practice.

Ren has a calm and soothing way of teaching, allowing students to feel at ease as they slow down and open up their bodies. Their classes are accessible to all ages and abilities, as the use of props within the practice allows modifications to easily be given, when needed. Ren teaches because they are passionate about how influential yoga can be for the mental and physical body.
