About the class

An extended, practice based Restorative Yoga session drawn from my personal practice and decades of teaching.

 

This evening offers sustained, fully supported postures designed to reduce effort, quiet sensory input, and allow the nervous system to down regulate naturally. With minimal movement and generous time in each pose, participants are invited to experience what it means to be held without having to do anything.

 

Rest XL stands alone as a deeply nourishing experience, or as a gentle threshold into the weekend*, supporting the transition from the pace of daily life into a more spacious, receptive state.

 

This session is suitable for all levels and is especially supportive for fatigue, overwhelm, and stress.

 

Adelene is an internationally respected authority in Restorative Yoga, with a particular specialism in yoga for scoliosis. Her teaching is grounded in lived experience and a deep meditation practice, expressed with authenticity, compassion, and embodied wisdom in the way she lives and teaches. She sees yoga as an intimate journey of presence and healing, rooted in the human experience and guided by equanimity. She continues to be inspired by her teachers Judith H. Lasater and Donna Farhi, whom she regularly assists on workshops and trainings.

(Please note, the Sunday full day is for women only).

 

*A weekend immersion in Restorative Yoga exploring deep rest, spinal ease, and women’s health through intelligent support, somatic awareness, and embodied inquiry. Blending Restorative Yoga with gentle somatic repatterning, the weekend offers both practical understanding and deeply nourishing practice for teachers and students alike.

Due to the nature of the Crescent Bakery building, it's ideal to wear layers of clothing for cooler / warmer fluctuations.

Please note workshops will be refunded only if we can find someone to take your place. Obviously, we will take account of exceptional circumstances. If you have chosen to pay in instalments, payments to completion will still be due.
